Sir Tom recently opened up to Graham Norton about his early career, the celebrities he played with and how he met – and became great friends with – Elvis Presley.

“It was wonderful, I was staying in a hotel on the Sunset Strip and I had to go to work at Paramount Studios,” he said on The Graham Norton Show in February.

“They said to me, ‘Elvis Presley is going to be here tomorrow and he wants to meet you.

“I was thinking ‘Elvis Presley wants to meet me?’ it was amazing!” the singer recalled, “So I went over there and they said, ‘Elvis is filming and once they stop filming you come in’.
