Someone once said that one person’s trash is another’s treasure. I never had that play-out for myself, but a 22-year-old player in Illinois experienced it first-hand in a big way.
I love going to thrift stores with no specific purpose. I like to go inside and casually browse whatever stands out to me. I usually end up leaving with nothing, but every once in a while I buy something hoping it might be of value. The value doesn’t necessarily have to be monetary, especially if I know someone who will appreciate the item.

A student from Wheaton, Illinois made an awesome purchase that made him a big profit. His name is Terrelle Brown and here is an example of his recent thrift stores.
Although it is a pretty headboard that is do not the goodwill find that earned him nearly 30,000% profit. When Terrelle was leaving an Illinois goodwill, he spotted a unique ashtray. As a true saver, he knew he had to buy it. He didn’t know how precious the ashtray was. It was designed by Japanese artist Yoshitomo Nara and was priced at $10. After the purchase, he made a mad dash to his car to do some research to find out its value. In the parking lot, he learned that he had struck gold. How much did it sell for?
