ST. CLOUD – Another man in central Minnesota has been caught in a covert attack involving online chat rooms and soliciting a child.
Criminal complaint filed in Stearns County District Court alleges 32-year-old man Matthew Piram from Big Lake sent a message to a decoy account created by the Central Minnesota Human Trafficking Task Force.
Piram is accused of soliciting, whom he believed to be a 15-year-old girl, to engage in sexual behavior.
Court records show that the initial conversation began in late September and went from a social media app to a private email Piram shared with the undercover agent.
After completing the investigation, police attended Piram’s home on Monday and arrested him. He is charged with two crimes … soliciting a child and describing sexual behavior with a child through electronic communications.
Piram’s next court appearance is scheduled for February 28.
